Tonight McQueen wanted some goldfish, and he wanted to eat them from the cupholder in his chair. So he says to Hubby, "Put the goldfish in here, Hubby!"
We got a good laugh out of that. He also wears our shoes all over the house. The kids actually enjoy taking a bath together now. Sis does not like sitting in her chair anymore ~ she enjoys sitting with McQueen in the bathtub. She likes to be very close to him, and play with all his toys. He does not like this much, and usually turns his back to her saying, "NO! Sis, MINE!" and she pouts for a while. But then when she gets out, he is upset and wants her back in the tub.
Auntie Laura got McQueen a fish while she was out her visiting, and of course McQueen named him Nemo. Each morning and evening and every hour in between he does not forget that Nemo needs to be fed. Many times during the day, he will pull a chair over and observe Nemo for quite long periods of time. I just have to make sure he doesn't reach in and try to grab Nemo, which has happened a few times. McQueen has said to that, "But I love Nemo!"
Sis decided the other day she was hungry. The fridge was open for just a few minutes while Mommy and Auntie were cooking, and before we knew it, she was standing just like this. She is too much!

Summer Fun
I have so many pictures to post ~ I hope you don't get bored looking at them all. There are just so many that I love, and we have had an exciting past couple weeks. We decided to take the kids camping the day before the 4th. We had an awesome campsite up at Granite Flats, and the kids were GREAT and loved being outside, in the dirt as you can see. Kenzie laughed while watching Jake throw dirt all over. All was well until about 1am when I thought we might all suffer from hypothermia. To make the REALLY long story short, since many of you have heard it, at 3:30am Mike took the stakes and poles out of the tent, and pretty much threw everything into the back of the minivan(yes, we have a minivan) and we drove home, both kids screaming. By 5am we were in our own beds and laughing so hard that it was hard to go to sleep.
This last picture is my favorite. The kids have really started interacting with each other in the last few weeks. Here they are inspecting a register. Must be fun to them! Jake now hides behind the curtains in the kitchen when sister is eating, and jumps out at her stating "BOO!" over and over while she roars with laughter. It is quite funny and gives me some time to clean up the kitchen. Last but not least, there is Mike and I. Our lives seem to be in complete chaos lately with neverending projects ranging from the basement, to the yard, to church, to the kids and trying to remember the house does need to be cleaned even if it is midnight. I sometimes think we have taken on too much, but look forward to the rewards each project will bring. Mike has also started a new project at work that we are really excited about. And I have started a part time job at Macy's just to get out of the house a few nights a week and fulfill my need to work. I am actually really liking it ~ it is mindless, fun, I love the people and I love the discount! So we'll see if I can keep up with everything else and still keep the job.
So, here is Mike, my hardworking husband after a day priming the basement. I know he will be really excited I posted this awesome picture of him. Thanks Mike!

Jake is 2!
Yesterday was McQueen's 2nd birthday! I can't believe I have a 2 year old. On his birthday we had a picnic at the park in the morning, then went to the fair that afternoon with his cousin Ty. The picture in front of the helicopter was at the fair, and McQueen's favorite part of the day. Or as McQueen calls it ~ "Heckicopter". They got to watch it leave, and McQueen thought that was awesome.
Today we had a party with some of his little friends. I attempted to make him a Lightning McQueen cake, which McQueen was really excited for until I lit the candle and then he was more excited about that. He wanted me to light the candle over and over. It was cute when we sang him Happy Birthday, he totally knew it was for him and he just smiled and watched everyone. Then all the kids went out to play in the pool Grandma and Grampa gave McQueen for his birthday. I had to take a picture of Sis by the pool in her cute suit. She knew she was cute ~ look at that smile! It has been a great weekend and we had a lot of fun with his birthday this year. I have always looked forward to planning birthday parties, so I had fun but I know McQueen had an even better time. Happy Birthday little man!
