Last Sunday, on Easter, we decided to try hiding eggs for Jake and his cousin Ty. We weren't sure if they would understand the concept, but we were sure wrong! They knew right away what to do, and the race was on for the easter eggs. Ty was a bit more quick than Jake, and in the end Jake was taking eggs out of Ty's basket to make the score even! They wanted us to hide the eggs over and over, but once we showed them there was candy inside, they quickly forgot about the hunt. Then the candy became a priority!(as you can see on Jake's face)
Now when Jake wakes up in the morning, his first word is usually "Chocolate....more please?"

Ha ha! They are getting so big! We also did an easter egg hunt for the kids. But instead of using candy in the eggs we actually dyed eggs and did it the old fashioned way. They weren't too impressed, let me tell you. They were mad to see that they couldn't open them and find candy, although they did like watching the shells break as they threw them on the gound. Guess we won't be doing that next year.
Dad and I LOVED looking at those pictures and reading what you said.............the description was perfect! Such innocent looking little boys! The excitement in their faces of discovery!
Wish we could have been there
Love,
Mom & Dad
